About Seattle Beautiful

Seattle Beautiful is an independent digital guide to Seattle and the surrounding Puget Sound region. We publish neighborhood guides, local history, food and coffee coverage, cultural stories, attractions, outdoor ideas, sports coverage and practical information for people who live in or want to explore the city.

Our purpose: make Seattle easier to understand and explore through clear, useful and responsibly maintained local coverage.

What we cover

Our coverage is organized around the places and subjects that shape everyday life in Seattle: neighborhoods, public spaces, architecture, local businesses, food, coffee, history, arts, events, waterfront life, sports and community identity. We aim to connect readers with both well-known destinations and the smaller details that distinguish one part of the city from another.

How our guides are produced

Seattle Beautiful uses a structured research and editorial workflow. Research may draw from official agencies, venue websites, public maps and datasets, historical institutions, established reference sources and direct community submissions. Research and drafting software may assist with organization, but pages must pass editorial checks before publication. Automated error messages, unsupported filler and unfinished research are not acceptable published content.

Keeping information current

Seattle changes constantly. Businesses close, schedules move, prices change and public access can be seasonal. We identify update dates where practical and encourage readers to verify time-sensitive details with the responsible venue, team, agency or organizer. Readers can report corrections through our corrections page.

Independence and transparency

Editorial coverage is selected for reader usefulness. Advertising, sponsorship or affiliate relationships do not guarantee positive coverage. When a commercial relationship materially affects a page, we disclose it clearly.
